I was immediately drawn to KAWS.
His work consists of taking famous cartoon characters and adding a bit of...of...
Whimsical morbidity. That's it. Whimsical morbidity.
For example, he's taken Mickey Mouse and gave him a skull and crossbones for a head and x's for eyes and x's on his hands and feet. He's taken Spongebob, put x's in his eyes, took him apart, and made sort of Spongebob body part collages, except in neon. He's taken Snoopy, gave him x's for eyes, and made him frown
If you have guessed, his trade mark is x's for/over eyes, and sometimes on various parts of the character's body.
Anyway, KAWS had me transfixed on his work. I even find myself still thinking about his pieces, a day later. I love KAWS, and he inspires me in ways I couldn't have possibly imagined.

I really enjoyed looking at your blog. It looks very professional and clean. All of your descriptions in your posts are thought out and beneficial.
